Support our work
'I felt like somebody who was
dead and came to life again. Tears of joy, a dawn of hope and a new life. Before
your conference I was dead but after I woke up. Thank you.'
-Youth participant in WSCF's
2004 Iraq conference
IN TODAY'S WORLD,
beset by conflict, division and injustice, we need more than ever a 'Dialogue of
Life' - a respectful meeting place to engage with one another, as sisters and brothers in
Christ.
This is painfully
obvious in the Middle East, where divisions have led to civil war, occupation
and mistrust between religious communities.
THE WSCF IS
GRATEFUL FOR THE SUPPORT OF OUR PARTNERS WORLDWIDE. Without these sustaining
relationships, we would be unable to implement our activities.
Please contact our
Regional Secretary, Elias El-Halabi, if your organization or church is
interested in becoming a partner and being part of our work.
ORGANIZATION
WSCF is a
non-governmental organization that strives for peace and justice through
dialogue among university students from across denominational boundaries.
WSCF has consultative status in the UN category B. We are a non-profit
organization recognized in Lebanon by the Lebanese government. Our Middle East
Regional Office in Beirut includes a full-time Regional Secretary, a part-time
office assistant, and two staff members supported by partner churches in the
United States and Canada.
There is also a part-time staff person based in Egypt. Our inter-regional office
is based in Geneva.
