WSCF / WCC GENERAL ASSEMBLY:
February 2006
The WSCF executive meetings will
preceed the general assembly of the World Council of Churches. Representatives
of WSCF-ME will be attending both important events in Porto Allegre, Brazil. The
WCC's theme is 'God in
your Grace, Transform our World.'

FRANCE-LEBANON EXCHANGE: May 31-June 8 @ Beirut, Lebanon
In Lebanon this summer,
Christians and Muslims from France will join Christians and Muslims from Lebanon
to better understand each other and the context in the Middle East. This event
organized by the Paris Protestant Student Association (AEPP) with WSCF and our
Muslim-Christian Dialogue partners.
IRAQI YOUTH GATHERING: June 2006 @ Amman, Jordan
Following up from last year's
successful gathering of the Iraqi Christian Youth Committee, we will reunited in
Amman, Jordan.
AYIA NAPA 21:
July 9-15 @ Alexandria, Egypt
Our annual ecumenical regional
conference will continue this year under the theme: 'Searching for identity
in the Arab world.'
MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN DIALOGUE:
Aug 21-6 @ Beirut, Lebanon
Our annual dialogue seminar,
under the theme 'Muslims, Christians, and the Challenges of Contemporary
Life.'
WOMEN'S SEMINAR: Sept 2-5 @ Amman, Jordan
'Gender Justice:
Discrimination and violence against women.'
SUMMER UNIVERSITY: Sept 5-9 @ Damascus, Syria
A last event before the school
year, under the theme, 'Ecumenism, leadership training and capacity building.'
This event is especially for newer members of WSCF, to focus on building skills,
friendship and community.

FILM NIGHT:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2005
We showed Michael
Moore's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, a look at the USA
since September 11 attacks. This scathing critique of militarism and the Bush
administration presents challenges to us as Christians today. Snacks and
discussion followed the screening.

ECUMENICAL YOUTH COMMITTEE RETREAT:
SATURDAY, JANUARY 21
Representatives of the
ecumenical youth movements in Lebanon will gather to reflect on the past year
and vision our movement for the coming one.
